We are Australia's FIRST discount conveyancing service having been established in 1986 by solicitor Peter Francis, B.Juris LLB (dec'd).

Peter saw that the fees charged by solicitors for conveyancing were very expensive and so began setting up an independent specialist conveyancing business.

By streamlining processes and developing available technology, Peter was soon able to provide quality conveyancing services at a fraction of normal solicitors' fees. Supported by sections of the real estate industry and with favourable publicity gained through the media, Peter's specialist conveyancing service has handled more title transfers than any other firm in Australia.

Although Francis and Torrens chooses to handle only Victorian properties, we are still Australia's largest specialist conveyancing service having completed more than 26,000 real estate settlements in the last ten years.

Francis & Torrens is run by Lea Francis and a dedicated team who have the experience and expertise to give you "peace of mind" through your real estate sale or purchase. More than 60% of our conveyancing business comes through referral from satisified past clients.
